Ride Clwyd 70mile

Description

1) Gently rising roads out of Broughton with one sharp ascent in Cilcain will bring you around to Ruthin food stop.

2) Big climb - the Mantlepiece comes next (500ft gained over 2.4miles) and then its on to a fast descent of the Horseshoe Pass.

3) We've got a new, easier way up onto the spectuacular Panorama Walk and then a twisty set of roads and a stiff climb up to the Coedpoeth food stop.

4) After that its a short ride to the finish.

Ride Clwyd 80mile

Description

1) Gently rising roads out of Broughton with one sharp ascent in Cilcain lead to the first route split - head for the Denbigh food stop.

2) Immediately out of town is the Road to Hell climb (No. 89 in 100 Greatest Climbs book). Very steep hairpin signals the start - 80s will go 2 miles and 700ft up this before turning off and heading for the Ruthin food stop.

3) Next is the Mantlepiece (500ft gained over 2.4miles) and then its on to a fast descent of the Horseshoe Pass.

4) We've got a new, easier way up onto the spectuacular Panorama Walk and then a twisty set of roads and a stiff climb up to the Coedpoeth food stop.

5) After that its a short ride to the finish.

Ride Clwyd 100mile

Description

1) Gently rising roads out of Broughton with one sharp ascent in Cilcain lead to the first route split - head for the Denbigh food stop.

2) Immediately out of town is the Road to Hell climb (No. 89 in 100 Greatest Climbs book). Very steep hairpin signals the start - 100s will go all the way to the top - 1,150ft climbing over 6.8miles.

3) Next challenge is the obscure Melin-y-Wig climb - No. 189 in 100 Greatest Climbs - before heading over to the Ruthin food stop.

4) After that the Mantlepiece (500ft gained over 2.4miles) and then its on to a fast descent of the Horseshoe Pass.

5) We've got a new, easier way up onto the spectuacular Panorama Walk and then a twisty set of roads and a stiff climb up to the Coedpoeth food stop.

6) After that its a short ride to the finish.
